This s—s in a major way. It's been a while but I just can't come to terms with the closure in Marquette. Gander Mountain, Gander Outdoors - whatever. That store was one of the best stores in the country. The closure was a tragedy.

Gander Outdoors is NOT going to close in Springfield after all, despite all the signs and online ads that suggest otherwise. They will instead change the store to offer more RV services. Incredibly smart choice! This is a win for everyone!

I really hate the direction Gander Outdoors is headed in these days. Closing good stores willy-nilly is a bad look for the company. I hope the next year won't feature so many closings of Gander Outdoors stores. Hopefully.

Gander's website said that the store located in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Lima Road is slated for a closing. I think that the store didn't offer nor sell RV services so it had to be closed. I hope they reopen one day.

I had the nastiest surprise in store when I found out by accident last week that the Gander in West Manchester Township closed for good. It's true then, if you don't sell or service RVs your Gander will be eliminated.

There was no reason given on why the Gander in Peoria had to close. I wager it had to do something with those RV services but for the life of me I just cannot remember if the store at 5114 West Holiday Drive offered those services or not.

On Facebook, there is an announcement that the Gander in Marquette at 3465 U.S. 41 will be closing but to the best of my knowledge the store itself didn't comment yet. This is pretty sad. I like Gander and this store is great.

Today on Facebook I saw a Gander Outdoors ad that said their store in Watertown in the Salmon Run Mall has a closing sale with everything being 40% off. There is no other info on this closing anywhere else though. Is it true? Will they close?

Gander Outdoors is way too overpriced. Cabela's is way superior, even Bass Pro outshines them in every way possible. I know that some people accuse me of being cheap but I feel like my feelings towards Gander are justified.

There is no closing date set - yet - but what is definitely known for sure is that Gander Outdoors in Onalaska, Wisconsin will be closing for good. Really sad in my opinion. I think that the store deserved to stay open.
