is joann fabrics closing stores or are they just remodelling

Are they planning anything with this location? I hope it's nothing nefarious. Joann is an exemplary business and they should continue to cultivate this greatness, rather than going backwards and cutting stores.

Things have been too calm around here - should I be worried that something is brewing?

This is what happens when you underestimate the importance of good cashiers. I believe the long lines could have been one of the reasons this Jo-Ann in Dublin, California closed recently. It's a pity, I really love Jo-Ann.

Jo-Ann stores are doing relatively well, considering the current state of retail. I just wish they would add more to their selection. I always feel like Jo-Ann stores are missing something. Maybe some changes are in order?

Please do not close all stores. In Peoria Il it is the only big fabric store we have. I have been a customer ever since it opened. Even worked there part time for a while about 15 years ago.

Jo-Ann Fabric store closed in Bluefield, Va. It was located there for almost 20 years, and surely a lot of its regular customers are sad to have it closed. Jo-Ann's is known for quality fabrics and craft supplies, as well as very friendly service.

That's my hunch - Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft will shut down many stores due to the Amazon effect - a lot of hobby people shop on Amazon
