Macy's has recently announced that they will be leaving their store in the Lloyd Center which I assume could cause quite the problem for the mall. I wonder how many more mall stores will close in Portland once Macy's leaves? Scary thought.

Furloughs and store closings... Macy's was forced to do this since the current situation calls for it right now. It's a horrible time we have found ourselves in but we can survive it if we just push through it and keep going.

Just a heads up. I don't think any of them will be closed for good.

I cannot put into words how horrible this is. I feel so, so sorry for the people involved. They will lose their jobs just like that. Next month, when Macy's Credit and Customer Services Center closes, 843 employees will be left jobless.

There's a clearance sale planned for the Macy's in the Macon Mall. It is closing soon and that's just depressing! Just depressing, no other way to describe this situation. It was my dearest store and it was the best store in the mall too!

Despite a very fruitful holiday season that resulted in great sales, Macy's is still closing more than two dozen stores. One of them is the Macy's in Spring Hill Mall. I loved that store for years. It's going to be hard to let it go.
