Very sad that the store is closing. I haven't shopped in a lot of Pier 1 stores but in those that I did I had a genuinely good experience. Obviously not all of them can be equally great but I know for a fact that the store in Keene was that great.

when will the out of business sells start? Why this store?

Pier 1 had to see this coming. And before anyone attacks me, I was one of the biggest fans of the chain. But the truth is that, in addition to never adapting to a fast changing market, their prices mostly always stayed the same. Pricey.

The Tuscaloosa location of Pier 1 Imports is shuttering. The store at 1525 Skyland Blvd E will be counted among the 400 + stores that are planned to be shuttered this year. It's very distressing to see so many stores be closed...

I'm very relieved to hear that I'm not the only one literally devastated that Pier 1 Imports decision to close the Avon store in Eagle County. My neighbors were rattled and so was I. It is a regretful thing that needed to happen.

Good-bye Pier 1 !

This is disappointing to say the least. The Pier 1 Imports that is for now still located in the Riverhead Centre Shopping mall on Old Country Road is one of the 500~ Pier 1 store locations that must be closed, apparently.

Quite literally Nebraska will be left without any Pier 1 Imports stores. That means the nice store in Lincoln will be gone before this year ends. Shocking. I will need time to get used to having no Pier 1 Imports stores in my area.

Just read online that Pier 1 Imports has in plans to close the Salisbury, MD. store alongside their other soon-to-be closed stores. There's a sale right now so I might take advantage of that. I'm just not sure when the store will be closed.

Troubling times for Pier 1. The Schererville store will stay open for now but sadly Pier 1's Valparaiso and Hobart stores must go it looks like. The former will close in February but the latter doesn't have a closing date yet.

Pier 1 Imports is closing way too many stores this year. It's almost unbelievable - almost. The East Hanover, Edgewater and Paramus stores are closing, however, I still don't know when they are closing exactly just yet.

Carbondale, Illinois Pier 1 Imports is shuttering too. It looks like it's one of the 400 + (450?) stores that will shutter this year. It's a bit depressing but I don't think anyone is surprised to see it shutter soon.
