At least 70 more Pier 1 stores will be closing by the end of this year and the CEO of the company implied that maybe even more could close if things don't go as planned. I am not surprised this is happening. Pier 1 is overpriced.

Pier 1 has seen some layoffs happening in Mansfield and about 65 people have been laid off because of that. They ended this March. Will they happen again, soon? I'm worrying for my son who is working for Pier 1 currently.

Such sad turn of events, I was so sure that this store won't be impacted by Pier 1 Imports "restructuring" efforts but it seems it did. Their store at Packwood Creek on Mooney Boulevard in Visalia will be shutting their retail operation in October.

Is there any way or possibility that Pier 1 could get themselves out of this mess? Some way to fix these issues and get back on track? Or is this just wishful thinking and anything they could do would be in vain?

I know they announced that they are closing 50+ stores - that's pretty bad. Do you know if any of the Lansing locations are gonna be closed? Who knows more? Where can I find this info on Pier1 closures?

I hope someone here could answer this for me: Pier 1 is not closing anymore stores, correct? Can we all rest more easily for now and not be afraid that one of our stores might close under our noses?

They are not closing, but they are really resistant. They will now try whatever they can to move forward and survive. They suffer because of the internet. I hope they do not close stores.
